Instrument Tuner Instructions (SURF Model)
1. Power On/Off
Press POWER/MODE to turn the SURF on or off.
• When turning on, all icons will appear for about 1 second.
• The tuner starts at your last-used setting.
• When powered on for the very first time, the default mode is Chromatic.
2. Select Mode
Press POWER/MODE briefly to set mode: Chromatic , Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Ukulele C.
3. Tune a Note
Play a single note on your instrument. The display will show:
• The note name detected.
• The string number (for Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Ukulele modes).
Adjust the pitch until the display shows the correct note and string.
4. Fine-Tuning with the Needles
• If the blue needles move left, the note is flat (too low). Tighten the string to raise the pitch.
• If the orange needles move right, the note is sharp (too high). Loosen the string to lower the pitch.
• The note is perfectly in tune when three yellow needles appear in the center.
Notice
- Avoid extreme environments (heat, cold, water, strong light)
- Do not disassemble
- Replace battery when screen dims
- Pay attention to polarity when replacing battery
- Remove battery if unused for long periods
